NELSON'S BIOGRAPHY

Nelson Aspen

NELSON ASPEN is one of Entertainment's most charming and popular personalities. He has spent three decades airing on morning television outlets around the world, bringing the latest in entertainment and pop culture to millions of viewers! But there's a lot more to this Showbiz Insider than just empathy, wit, A-list contacts and masterful storytelling ability. You'd be hard pressed to name a celebrity he hasn't interviewed or an entertainment story he hasn't covered, which is why in 2020, the 5-time Publicists Guild of America nominee was recognized as International Media Journalist of the Year.

One day he's on a red carpet chatting with Tom Cruise or Chris Hemsworth...the next he's sitting down for exclusive chats with Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Mark Wahlberg, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon or the Avengers...enjoying the nightlife with Kylie Minogue...scaling skyscrapers with Martina Navratilova...taking us behind the scenes for set-visits of blockbuster films and TV series...singing and dancing on stage with The Wiggles or Hugh Jackman! He has a serious side, too, as evidenced by his compelling live, breaking reports on the deaths of Tony Bennett, Lisa Marie Presley, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams and Heath Ledger and the celebrity arrests, break-ups and make-ups du jour. News outlets around the world quote his expertise and exclusives. When show business news happens, Nelson is always among the first in his industry to report it.

NELSON began his professional career at age 8 and went on to roles in the big screen's ISHTAR, OFF BEAT, and TV's long running SEARCH FOR TOMORROW. During a hiatus, NELSON discovered aerobics. Grabbing the baton with his characteristic enthusiasm, he trained rigorously to become a top instructor and traveled the world conducting Master Classes and training other instructors (even Lady Di's!). He's a 20-time marathoner and has taken fans on global visits from as far as the Australian outback, the vineyards of New Zealand, on safari in South Africa, Ireland's "Titanic Trail," Niagara Falls and the UK's Eastend marketplace to closer-to-home points like Rodeo Drive, New York City's Times Square and the volcanoes of Hawaii. In 2023, NELSON was nominated for three Broadway World cabaret awards, including Best Male Vocalist. He also launched an acclaimed podcast, "Titanic Talk," which he co-hosts with filmmaker Alexandra Boyd. His latest musical offering is a Tony Bennett Tribute show based on his personal experiences with the musical legend and reviewers dubbed it "charming" and "suitably elegant."

His unique ability to package entertainment in a knowledgeable and sensitive manner endeared him not only to fans, but to the stars and their representatives, too. He appears as an analyst on several international news outlets, writes for several international publications and privately coaches celebrities and other media professionals for interviews and public speaking appearances. Nelson is a frequent emcee, speaker & panel moderator for star-studded events such as film festivals, book launches and screenings at the world famous American Cinematheque.

In 2004, Kensington Books released his happy, how-to manual for entertaining, "Let's Dish Up A Dinner Party!" and ELLE Magazine named him one of their six annual "Good Time Gurus!" In 2008, his "must read" autobiography "Hollywood Insider: Exposed!" became an international sensation. 2010's handsome hardcover, "Dinner at Nelson's," had fans lined up at bookstores. "My Prime Time," came out in 2014 to coincide with his return to the musical theater stage at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Sydney Opera House. Since then, he has been bringing his unique cabaret stage show combining showbiz stories, songs and special guest stars to sold-out venues in NYC, LA, Philadelphia and London's West End. His 2023 book, "Your Home is Your Castle," helps readers bloom in a post pandemic world and debuted at #1 on Amazon's Home Remodel & Renovation charts. The latest from Nelson is a steamy, semi-autobiographical novel, "Dancing Between the Raindrops," set in 1980s NYC and its sequel, "Dancing Between the Raindrops: The Hollywood Years." Expect a trilogy to be complete in 2025 in addition to a new historical fantasy, "Kindred Spirits: A Titanic Tale." You can also tune in to GB News for his weekly political commentary on "Saturday Morning Live."

Fun, fair, friendly, fascinating. Nelson enthuses, "I love to be busy. Bodies in motion STAY in motion and I intend to keep moving!" With his winning way, his gift of gab and intelligent sense of reporting, it's not difficult to see why NELSON ASPEN is, as always, going places.
